Astoria Home Renovation

Our client initially contacted us to perform some deck and window repairs to her home in Astoria, OR. Her first challenge was finding a quality contractor on the Oregon Coast willing to do home repair work. Our client was thrilled to hear we were willing to even meet with her and that we serviced Astoria and The Oregon Coast. Within three days, we met her in Astoria and assessed the condition of her home. After about a 1-hour inspection, our Senior Estimator discovered some dry rot and realized the home had other issues as well. He determined the house would require a full exterior renovation, which would necessitate dry rot remediation and some structural rot repairs. Our client agreed to move forward.

We started by removing the home’s siding and conducting targeted dry rot repairs on the structural materials and sheathing. We then installed all new windows and doors, and Tyvek house wrap. Next, we installed all new James Hardie Siding on the entire home. The home also had two-second story decks, which we replaced and upgraded. We added custom handrails and staircases to the new decks. We also patched several roof leaks in the home’s metal roofing to ensure a fully watertight home exterior.

Our client was so pleased with the crew and their craftsmanship during the exterior home repairs that she asked us to re-frame the entire first and second story interior of the home. SFW Construction was able to work with our client and her architect to streamline the project and end with a high-quality full home renovation. We plan to send our paint team out in May.
